The text for this piece appeared in a small booklet of reflections by several writers, and while perusing several of these reflections I came upon, “My Strength Is My Lord” by Albert Norman Theel. That was 27 years ago. I contacted Mr. Theel asking for permission to set his text to music and he agreed. After the music was written, it sat in my collection of original manuscripts until Imagine Music Publishing agreed to publish it. I believe performers will find Mr. Theel’s words inspirational.
This work is an SATB setting with piano accompaniment. I consciously kept it brief. Nothing to detract from the lyrics. Perform it with expression and the message will unfold.
