I Seek Your Face is an intimate struggle to understand and accept the divine. The harmonies created within the work reflect that struggle.
Special attention to intonation is important in bringing out the effect of subtle harmonic shifts. Make the most of the phrasing, particularly by breathing together and cutting off together. Continually work to keep the energy flowing throughout the piece, although the piece should never feel rushed. The final chords, though not fully consonant, should feel resolved in their imperfection; just as we try to accept our imperfections in our continuing journey.
