Mike Keegan
Mike Keegan (BA – UW-Whitewater and MM – UW-Milwaukee) is a freelance horn player in the Milwaukee area. As the Founder, Executive, Musical, and Artistic Director of Eastwinds Chamber Ensemble based in Milwaukee, Mike promotes new music for horn, solo and chamber, as a frequent recitalist and soloist. He is also an Artist-In-Residence at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on Milwaukee’s East Side. Mike currently performs with the Prata Duo, Steve Wolff, Piano/Organ, St. Mark’s Brass, Mary Radspinner, Harp, as an active studio musician, and has performed with Ozaukee Chorus, Milwaukee Choirsters, MacDowell Club of Milwaukee, and other Milwaukee area bands and orchestras. Solo appearances include the Philharmonia Racine and International Horn Competition of America. He is also a member of Delta Omicron, International Horn Society, and American Guild of Organists, Milwaukee Chapter. As an organist, Mike plays for different congregations in the Milwaukee area, mainly at Summerfield Methodist Church, Milwaukee. As an organ performer, Mike presents occasional solo concerts at different churches in the Milwaukee area with past performances including Concert Series at St. Casimir, Concerts on Cramer at Ss. Peter and Paul Parish, Milwaukee, and most recently, Music on the Hill, Port Washington. Mike is published by Imagine Music, and in addition to his musical activities, Mike is a member of the National Stuttering Association.
