Product Overview
CELEBRACIÓN was written for my band students with the purpose of providing them with an “exciting” song to play. Celebración is the Spanish word for “celebration” or “festival”. The main challenge in CELEBRACIÓN is to keep the tempo throughout the piece, especially between measures (38-45). Carefully adherence to the articulations should really make this a positive performing experience for all of the students as well as the listener.
It is my hope that CELEBRACIÓN will provide students with a song that they will enjoy learning to play and provide other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used to motivate and encourage their students. CELEBRACIÓN is dedicated to the Madison County Central School Bands, 2002-2013.
