Rudajev's Trio-Divertimento for Trumpet, Bassoon, and Piano is a three movement work of approximately fourteen minutes duration. The literature for this combination is very sparse, dominated by the piano reduction of the Concerto for Trumpet, Bassoon, and Strings by Paul Hindemith. Rudajev utilizes the practical range of both instruments but chose to not exploit the timbral possibilities of the trumpet by requiring different mutes. The manuscript is not dated and I have not been able to locate any information detailing a first performance.
