The Slavonic Dance, Op. 72, No. 8, is less performed, but nevertheless a favorite of mine because of its inherent beauty. The mood is sometimes reflective and introspective, calling for more sensitivity and nuance, unlike the dances of Dvorák’s earlier opus 46.
