Product Overview

For SATB Choir  &optional Violin
By Ric and Karen Jones.  Written for SATB Choir & Violin.  This piece was commissioned by the Middleport Community Choir (NY).  It was written in memory of one of its choir members, Robert Maedl.  This piece speaks of the life and qualities that Robert illustrated; qualities that we can all aspire for.

Take the time to realize
How short our time is here.
Reach for those you know you love,
Embrace.
Don’t fear to show your friends
You’re there for them;
That You will do most anything.

Pick up a hammer
And bend your back;
Greet the day at dawn.
Share a smile with strangers that you see;
Dance with those you love the most;
Take the long way home.
Fill your lungs with air;
Don’t be afraid to sing.

When everything is done in love
Fulfillment can be yours.
Just share what you know best.
We face troubled times,
Walk a road that’s long;
Unbowed,
We raise our voice in song.
