Minuet Sauvage, as with my other string orchestra music, especially those that fall under the dance genre, was designed primarily for student orchestras. With that being said, however, they are also challenging enough to be of interest to both advanced players and professional string orchestras. The subtitle: “Dance of the Catrinas” (the world famous Day of the Dead dolls) came about due to the heavy use of both forzando and pizzicato.
