Product Overview
The composition Magnifico was written for the Madison County Central School Bands, Madison, Florida. According to Merriam/Webster, the word “magnifico” is an Italian word that was first used in 1573, and comes from the Latin word “magnificus.” It was inspired by Psalm 145:3(MSG) which reads, “GOD is magnificent; He can never be praised enough. There are no boundaries to His greatness.”
It is my hope that Magnifico will provide students with a song that they will enjoy learning to play, and provide other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used to motivate and encourage their students.
Magnifico is dedicated to all of my former music students in the Madison County Florida School System, who I had the privilege of teaching from 1974-2016.
