For Flute Trio
By Judith Katz
“Tosca” is an opera in three acts by Ciacomo Puccini to an Italian libetto by Luigi Ilica and Giuseppe Giacosa, based on Victorian Sardou's drama “La Tosca.” The premier was in Rome in 1900. One of the most famous arias of the opera is “E Buona La Mia Tosca”, which has become a show piece for some of the most famous tenors of all times, notable, Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo. The slow, gentle use of the triplets accompanies the theme very well. Make sure, not to rush the tempo.
