The Chorale for Four Bassoons was written for the occasion of Kirk's senior recital at the Manhattan School of Music. That event took place on 25 February 1977. The performers were Lewis Kirk, Alan Futterman, Susan Shaw, and Tom Sefcovic. Prairie Dawg Press is pleased to offer the first publication of this work.
