This piece, scored for small orchestra, was written in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Robert Farnon Society. Within the piece are a few recognizable nods in the direction of light music composers such as Eric Coates, Haydn Wood and Angela Morley. Founded in 1956, the aim of the RFS was not only to champion of the music of its namesake, but also the many other fine composers of light music from around the world. This piece is a journey through the last 50 or so years of light music in the UK and beyond.
