In the spring of 2016, I had the great pleasure of being commissioned by the United States Air Force Band to write a brass chamber work for two of their impressively accomplished musicians, Michael Brest and Will Timmons. The resulting piece, Summer Soliloquy, is a beautiful conversation between the two instruments while enjoying a beautiful summer day.
This version is for oboe, bassoon, and piano.
