Jack Jarrett
Dr. Jack Jarrett is an American composer who has been recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship, an Aspen Conducting Fellowship and a Ford Foundation/MENC Composer-in-Residence grant, among other awards. He has composed a wide range of works, including three full-length operas. His music has been performed by more than fifty orchestras worldwide, including recordings by the London Symphony Orchestra under his own direction. In 2008 his song cycle “...autumn too long” received the ASCAP Rudolf Nissim Prize for a new orchestral work. Although he has had an active career as composer, arranger, conductor and teacher, he now devotes his time primarily to composition.
