A new choral setting of a text from the Book of Job (Job 19:25-27), most familiar from Handel’s Messiah and funeral services in many Christian denominations:
“I know that my redeemer lives, and shall stand at the latter day upon the earth; and though this body be destroyed, yet shall I see God, whom I shall see for myself and my own eyes shall behold, and not as a stranger.”
This anthem is especially appropriate for the Easter Season as well as for funeral and memorial services.
