PROGRAM NOTES:
TRIO was composed for PEAR TREE, a double reed trio, and was premiered at the International Double Reed Society Conference in Provo, Utah, in July 2008. The work is in three movements, each a series of short dance episodes that express a variety of moods. Each instrument in TRIO is featured prominently throughout the work.
