In my Second Fanfare I decided to add percussion to the work. The fanfare is mostly a development of a short motif of 8th notes plus a "Spanish" triplet - and some "sledgehammer music cues" to interrupt the flow. Like my Fanfare for Brass Choir, I flirt with bitonality. I enjoyed adding percussion to the mix of the brass; it is similar to a British Brass Band without the drumset. Ultimately, the tonality of the piece moves to the key of C on the last note.
