Product Overview
The Four Latin Dances were commissioned by pianist Imelda Delgado in honor of her father, Narciso Delgado (1903-1977), an important figure in the genre of Tejarw Music. Crosby and Imelda Delgado were brought together by a mutual interest in Sidney Foster (1917-1977) an extremely influential American pianist and pedagogue. To fulfill the commission, Crosby turned to the ABCs of Latin countries notable for their dance traditions-Argentina (Tango), Brazil (Bossa Nova), and Cuba (Bolero and Mambo). This delightful set of pieces is sure to become a popular addition to the oboists' recital repertoire.
