Duplicity was written for and dedicated to the Talent Unlimited High School Jazz Band in 2008. It began as a simple instrumental tune with an ABA structure and later expanded and orchestrated for traditional jazz big band. The title suggests the use of multiple tunes and “feels” which are later conjoined into a rousing coda.
