The Chorales for Band collection has been arranged to provide very flexible material which directors can use for many instrumental combinations and for several purposes. These short pieces are ideal for warmup and tuning, and can be used to teach breathing and phrasing as well. These representatives of varying historical periods are also examples of differing harmonic vocabularies and worthy subjects for music theory studies. Directors may find a few of the chorales are suitable to include on concert programs, too!
