Lucas Suarez was born on November 10, 1992 in Des Moines, Iowa. He grew up in Adel, Iowa, and began to study music during his junior year in high school. After only a year of training, during his senior year, he composed his first full-length symphonic band piece, Water and Fire. Though it was premiered at his school's end-of the year concert, it was never published due to the impracticality of the piece. Throughout the summer, he worked to perfect his art, and in the process, he wrote a simple blues chart called Bluesy Tuesday, which would eventually become his first published work. He is currently studying music theory and composition at the University of Northern Iowa.
