Jordan Eismeier

Mr. Jordan M. Eismeier is a music educator and composer from Cleveland, Tennessee. He completed his Bachelor of Music Education from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in May 2003 where he studied bassoon under William Ludwig and music education under Cornelia Yarbrough, Jane Cassidy, James Byo, and Evelyn Orman. While at LSU, he began arranging music for his church. At age 21, his fascination with composition and his love of the orchestra led him to attempt his first original composition: Symphony No. 1 "The Cross". Although he had no formal compositional training, he continued composing more large- and small-scale pieces just for fun. After one year of teaching band full-time at North DeSoto Middle and High Schools near Shreveport, Louisiana, Mr. Eismeier pursued formal composition training with master composers David Holsinger, David Gillingham and José-Luis Maúrtua. He completed a Master of Music Composition and Master of Music Education at Central Michigan University in May 2008, and now, he is active as a composer and performer in the Chattanooga, TN area music community.
