Frank Vasi

Frank Vasi is an award winning composer and tenor saxophonist. He graduated from the Mannes College of Music where he received a BM, studying saxophone and clarinet with Joseph Allard and Frank Socolow, and composition with Fred Werle and David Loeb. His compositions have been performed at Lincoln Genter's Alice Tully and Avery Fisher Halls, and in Europe at the Academy of Saint Martin-in the Fields in London, and at the Rachmaninov House in Russia.


His choral piece King Whitlafs Drinking Horn won the Chorus Director's Prize for the 2011 Longfellow Chorus lnternational Composers Competition, and his work Proem was a finalist in the Connecticut Shoreline Community Chorale's Choral Competition. Along with his many choral and chamber music compositions Vasi also writes extensively for the saxophone and the saxophone quartet.
