Wieslaw Rentowski

The Music of Wieslaw Rentowski (Polish/American composer) has been presented at hundreds of International Music Festivals/Conferences and recitals in Europe, Russia, USA and Canada. Rentowski    is the recipient of numerous grants, scholarships and awards in Germany, Canada, USA and Poland (including 1st Prize in the 1988 National Competition for Young Composers in Warsaw and Louisiana Music Teachers Association Annual Award in Composition, in 1990 and 1997). His solo, chamber, choral and orchestral compositions have been published and/or professionally recorded in Russia, Poland, Germany, Romania, Slovakia, Canada, United States, Malaysia and New Zealand. In the United States Rentowski’s music is available from Zimbel Press, Imagine Music, Conners Publications and is distributed by J.W. Pepper. His works are also available on YouTube and several websites, and have been quoted and discussed in books/magazines published in English, Polish and German. Wieslaw Rentowski (also an organist/pianist and conductor) taught at several colleges in Poland and USA and gave many lectures/ presentations on his music in Poland, Germany, Canada and US. He holds advanced degrees in music from Universities in Poland (Lodz, Warsaw) and the United States (including Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition from Louisiana State University, 1996). Wieslaw Rentowski is a founding member and current President of NACUSA Texas Chapter (National Association of Composers USA). He also serves as NACUSA National Vice President and Coordinator of Young Composers’ National Competition. From 2013 to 2018 Rentowski was an Artistic Director of 4 Seasons Concert Series that promotedmusic by classical and contemporary composers. W. Rentowski now resides in Dallas, Texas.
