Composer's Notes
DO-DOODLY-SQUAT was written for my band students with the purpose of providing them with a “fun” song to play. The title of the song was created because the word “DO-DOODLY-SQUAT corresponded with the rhythm of the first five notes of the melody.
It is my hope that DO-DOODLY-SQUAT will provide students with a song that they will enjoy learning to play and provide other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used to motivate and encourage their students.
DO-DOODLY-SQUAT is dedicated to my niece Rebekah Arias
