I have always found Ecclesiastes one of the most hauntingly beautiful and elegant books of the often lyrical Old Testament. This is simply a tale of old age told with a musical 21st century twist. Many thanks to Michael Martin and the Methodist University Chorale for their very fine recording and willingness to premier this piece. Winner of the 2012 Henry Grady Miller Cup Award given by the North Carolina Federation of Music Clubs (given to the best choral piece published in the last three years).
